I did feel bad though for the slave who did as she was instructed and had hardships behind doing so. I often seem to lose faith about circumstances and stop waiting on God for what I want. When I take matters into my own hands, trying "to fix it", God's plan often gets messed up.
Secondly,God STILL fulfilled His promise to them about a baby even when they doubted. Sarah saw in that last section that what seemed impossible was done by God to show His power and glory to all. My son-in-law needs a job and has looked in the SE so he and our daughter can be near us,but to no avail. He's now looking in the midwest. I'm holding out for another of 'God's Impossibles'. :o)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-39567010299128944702008-03-13T10:59:00.000-04:002008-03-13T10:59:00.000-04:00Finished the reading on the 11th but forgot to pos...Finished the reading on the 11th but forgot to post the *I did it*!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-21926647897360119932008-03-13T06:10:00.000-04:002008-03-13T06:10:00.000-04:00I did it !! This definitely can be compared to our faith and trust in God. There is not anything that we experience that we cannot find a lesson in His Word. Those who don't read The Word on a regular basis have no idea how much knowledge and feeding of the soul they're missing. Sarah gives me a abundance of food for thought. I look forward to the continuing reading of God's Word, don't you?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-53022774395308629732008-03-12T23:13:00.000-04:002008-03-12T23:13:00.000-04:00If anyone is still having problems getting to Rach...If anyone is still having problems getting to Rachel's blog, make sure that you are putting a period after Olsen and then after spot. Here Sarah blamed God for "keeping her from having children" justifying her move to have Abram sleep with Hagar....then she blamed Abram " you are responsible" for Hagar's mistreatment of Sarah.

But the Lord was gracious and turned her laughter of doubt into her laughter of joy.

One thing I need to remember...God is good and He IS gracious, however there are consequences for our actions.
Sarah's have lasted for generations. God's plan might take a turn in the road, because we get in the way, but His plan WILL happen.
Because I am inpatient and self sufficient I have a tendency to not want to wait...like Sarah. I know I have found ways to get what I want by my own manipulations...how unfair of me to do that to my husband...espcially when he yields because he loves me and wants to make me happy. I am sure that is what Abram did, too.
I pray that I will look to the Lord first before I decide to selfishly get my own way.
Great lesson learned on how thinking of yourself can destroy so many!!Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06847619499399402282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-49163161980057120752008-03-12T20:38:00.000-04:002008-03-12T20:38:00.000-04:00I did it! I enjoyed reading about Sarah. She had ...I did it! I enjoyed reading about Sarah. She had me wondering about her when she let Hagar become Abraham's wife and have his child. I felt she had no right to get angry or envious. She should have sought GOD before doing this. I think Hagar was put in such a difficult situation. It was amusing when Sarah laughed about being able to have a baby after being barren so long and at an old age. I think I would have laughed as well. But GOD as usual showed his awesomeness and how his ways and thoughts are not our ways and thoughts. HE performed his will and fulfilled HIS word in his timing. Trusting GOD is hard sometimes, but we must keep in mind that the GOD we serve is faithful and mighty. All things are possible with GOD.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-25190966370980381382008-03-12T16:22:00.000-04:002008-03-12T16:22:00.000-04:00Have to say that (to my shame) I have been putting...Have to say that (to my shame) I have been putting my computer before Gods word every morning and now God (in his sense of humour) has combined the two for me!
