My daughter is currently a D1 college runner and our whole family follows track & field closely. I also really enjoy the swimming. Unfortunately, I just can't stay up late enough to watch all the events I would like.Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12706377175187918590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-46168639896499136732012-08-01T11:58:46.318-04:002012-08-01T11:58:46.318-04:00I too stayed up way too late watching the games in...I too stayed up way too late watching the games in Bejing!Rachel Olsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14666181671944102358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-29017890348581042362012-08-01T11:57:37.846-04:002012-08-01T11:57:37.846-04:00I watched some synchronized diving the other day a...I watched some synchronized diving the other day and thought of you and your sisters. :)Rachel Olsenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14666181671944102358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-79689860850622752572012-07-31T12:52:38.302-04:002012-07-31T12:52:38.302-04:00Rachel,

I stay up late into the night watching as much of it as I can. I saw last night's dramatic gymnastics and swimming competitions. I loved hearing Gabby say that she meditates on scriptures to calm her nerves. God bless her boldness and her humility.

My fave portion of the Olympics, the Athletics, won't start until Friday. Once again, I will gladly sit glued to the television watching people push themselves beyond their limitations. I truly believe there's a little Olympian in all of us - that drive, that passion, that desire to know we've found our purpose.Kendra | The Savvy WAHMhttp://thesavvywahm.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6451874990236641064.post-19894781503000671102012-07-30T12:06:24.928-04:002012-07-30T12:06:24.928-04:00She's an amazing young girl! I am also an avid watcher of the gymnastics competitions. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! WOW, Rachel, I didn't know your were an aspiring gymnast at one time. Watching these competitions with my boys has been a great opportunity to explain how much hard work and dedication goes into making it to the Olympics. These athletes have to want it more than anything. Yes, more than chocolate cake! I'm with you on that one and the words of affirmation, Rachel : ) As a young girl, the synchronized swimming competition was always a favorite. My sisters and I would desperately try some of those moves in our swimming pool. That's about as far as we got - haha!! Enjoy watching the rest of the Olympics!Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06789674304552778803noreply@blogger.com
