(No, I wasn't speeding.)(Yes, I took this pic while driving.)
(Don't fret, nobody was on the road and I didn't have to look thru a viewfinder.)
It's a little green lizard hanging on for dear life!
(Yep, took this pic while driving too.)
OK, well maybe God didn't give us sticky feet to hang on with when life comes at us fast, but He gave us something even better to hang on with - Himself.
"Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say:
Here am I."
"But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless."
"The LORD is with me; he is my helper."
Note: No lizards were (intentionally) harmed in the making of this post. Although, he wasn't still on the hood by the time I arrived at church. I'm hoping maybe he hopped off at a stop light and crawled under the nearest azalea bush to catch his little lizard breath.

Ever feel like that little green lizard? One minute you're lying in the sun on a car just a few feet from the hydrangea bush you live under. Life is grand. And the next minute, you're on a wildly unexpected, even dangerous ride that will take you miles from the comfort zone of your habitat. And you're thanking God for giving you sticky feet.

I love this!
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest picture! And I love the post! Had a minute to catch up on some of your other ones (I subbed a lot this week!) I love the one about the thirsty woman. Beautiful. I want to read Piper's book as well.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Susan
Thanks for this... sometimes I wish I had some sticky feet!
ReplyDeleteOn a totally different note... What are your thoughts on Halloween... more specifically... what do you think about Churches holding Halloween Harvest Parties? I'm curious!!!
P.S. I had a "Life Comes at you Fast" moment today when I was driving and all the sudden I noticed a turtle in the road and it was too late for me to swerve... and yes... that turtle was hurt. I've been remorseful all day!!!
cool post! Thank you for "Life comes at you fast"!
ReplyDeleteLife has been coming at me in full speed lately.
