Today is a writing day for me. Yesterday was a teaching day at the university. Not yet sure what tomorrow holds - likely more writing. But here's the thing, I'm having trouble staying on it today because I'm so hungry. I keep wandering into the kitchen and staring into the fridge. Ever have days like that?
In an effort to find the perfect fuel for writing, I sought to learn what famous writers ate.

Help me out, what do you think would make a good snack on a writing day? What's your favorite snack?
My homemade spicy oatmeal, cranberry, and chocolate chip cookies with a fresh brewed cup of coffee. Believe it or not, they are uber healthy and SO delicious!

Oh, sounds wonderful, Heather. Do they Fed-Ex well? :)
ReplyDeleteLet's see... chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate. :) If it doesn't get the creative juices flowing for me, nothing will!
ReplyDeleteRight now I am working on my dissertation and I try and always have a nice cup of green tea by my side. I try not to snack too much while I write but when I do I go for popcorn or salted pumpkin seeds.
ReplyDeleteChocolate is always a good choice.
ReplyDeleteBut k's salted pumpkin seeds and green tea sounds like a great combo. Healthy too.
Believe me, if they did, I'd send a whole box to the P31 office!! Everything is fresh, so they only last a few days. I make a batch and freeze them all. Whenever I want a couple, I stick 'em in the microwave for 30seconds and they taste like they just came out of the oven. {Pardon me as I mop up my drool over here...}
ReplyDeleteOk, I'll email you the recipe when I get a chance :).

ReplyDeleteRoasted Peanuts in the shell. (You know the ones like at ball games) YUMMO
You won't be impressed. Frozen grapes and pecans. Sadly, they do NOT help my writing!! Miss you sweet friend.
