OK, confession time. I haven't done my taxes yet. I do the taxes for us every year, and this year I've waited until nearly the last minute. Yikes. So I'm off to dig through my tax files, itemize my deductions, and hope for a refund! If I'm not back before the 15th - you'll know why!
Update:
Girly-Girl Nicki asked for tips on biscuit-making. Can't help you there. I rarely make bread. Also, my brother-in-law is a professional chef - the kind at expensive restaurants. So we let him do all the cooking when the family gets together!
Meanwhile, Zoe lamented that she loves ham biscuits but hadn't had one in years. Girlfriend - life is short - get yourself a ham biscuit!
Oh man, gotta love those hot glue gun burns! They are almost as bad as hot sugar burns.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the taxes!

ReplyDeleteSounded like a blessed and Joy filled Sunday, I was using my glue gun this weekend too on some wedding decorations and got burned a couple times, that hurts, I even got a blister.

ReplyDeleteFresh Hot biscuits with butter, my favorite food group. Sigh! It's been years since I've enjoyed such a tasty treat. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteHappy taxing!
Making bows sounds fun :)
ReplyDeleteMany blessings to you as you prepare your taxes!
Have a nice week,
Kate :)
Rachel,
ReplyDeleteI just read the P31 devo for today, and wow- you really opened my eyes on that parable. It is one I've never really taken the time to understand, but it is now crystalline!
God has really convicted me this year to get out of the comfort zone, out of the boat, out of complacency, out of fear. This is another reminder of His message to me a few months ago to "Do it afraid!". I learn so much when I obey!
Thanks for the reminder!
Onward,
Lisa R.
Rachel, Iloved your devo today and
ReplyDeleteit was very timely for me. Our daughter and her two daughters and soon to come third daughter live with us. Our household is hectic and I find it hard to find the time and enregy for long term household chores like cleaning the basement which is a mess. I can see that I need to put more effort into it and walk in the way of the Lord.
Those biscuits and ham sound yummy. We had ham, scalloped potatoes and yams with a lot of other stuff.
Janet
I think i have to file late. I hope that is not an issue...I've never done it before and don't even know if it is possible...hope your paperwork went better than mine (it seems to all have gotten lost in my move...)
